Almost all the product manuals and instructional materials are produced using desktop publishing software InDesign. The translation of InDesign projects might be challenging for a translator as they only work with plain text formats and do not know how to directly work with InDesign files. The text length of the target language is also a challenges while working with InDesign projects; French is about 20% longer than English which might result in truncated text, whereas CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) languages are shorter, adding unpleasing whitespace to the design.
You may also need specific versions for right-to-left (RTL) languages such as Arabic, Urdu and Hebrew (InDesign ME version), or special plugins for working with Indic languages (Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Konkani etc.). Our DTP teams can work in multiple languages. We possess the ability to translate InDesign documents.
As a professional language service provider, we provide the DTP services by handling the translation of your InDesign files (.inx, .idml and .indd formats) into more than 150 languages and adjusting the artwork and layout based on the target language.
InDesign versions we work with: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6 and CS7 (Creative Cloud) files
